Conscious Crafting at Mirror Me

At Mirror Me, sustainability isn’t a marketing label; t’s a responsibility. As a small, woman-owned brand producing in intentionally limited quantities, we are committed to choosing better materials, better partners, and better processes wherever possible.

Here’s how we do that:

Made in the USA — Every Step

All apparel is designed, cut, sewn, embroidered, and hand tie-dyed in Los Angeles.
Local production means:

  • Ethical labor
  • Reduced shipping emissions
  • Higher quality control
  • Supporting small LA factories and artisans

Even our woven labels and hang tags are U.S.-made.

Premium, Lower-Impact Materials

We prioritize materials that feel incredible on the skin and kinder to the planet:

Supima Cotton (100% cotton pieces)

  • Grown in California
  • Long-staple cotton = exceptional softness + long lifespan
  • Requires less replacement = reduced waste
  • Fully natural, biodegradable fibers

TENCEL™ Lyocell (crop tanks)

  • Derived from sustainably managed eucalyptus
  • Closed-loop production (99% of water + solvents are reused)
  • Breathable, silky, biodegradable
  • One of the cleanest textiles on earth

Spandex — Why We Use It (Transparent Note)

A small amount (3–8%) is added to some of our products to ensure stretch, recovery, and longevity.
While spandex itself is not a sustainable fiber, using a small percentage helps each garment last significantly longer; preventing early wear and replacement.

As a young brand, we are constantly working toward better options as they become available.

Bluesign®-Approved Dye House

Our tie-dye partner is Bluesign® Approved, meaning:

  • They use non-toxic dyes
  • Water is treated and reused responsibly
  • All processes comply with EPA + LA County sanitation standards
  • Zero harmful chemicals enter local ecosystems

Every tie-dye piece is unique; just like the person wearing it.

Sustainable Packaging

Your order ships with:

  • Recycled kraft mailers
  • Compostable or recycled tissue paper
  • Water-activated, plastic-free tape
  • Minimal packaging (no unnecessary extras)

We avoid plastics whenever possible and constantly look for improvements.

Small Batch Production

We produce intentionally limited quantities to:

  • Reduce waste
  • Prevent overproduction
  • Maintain quality
  • Keep each piece special

Our Promise to Keep Getting Better

As a small brand, every decision matters; financially and environmentally.
We’re committed to growing responsibly, improving our materials, and choosing better partners as we expand.

Sustainability is a journey, not a marketing line. Thank you for supporting a brand that believes self-love and conscious creation belong together.
